What is a shelf company?

A Swiss GmbH or AG formed in advance, registered and kept without activity, with its capital intact, until you take it over.

Is buying one legal?

Yes, for properly formed and capitalised companies. Swiss law voids transfers of companies with no activity, no realisable assets and over-indebtedness (Art. 684a/787a CO); ours come with signed accounts showing intact capital.

Can a foreigner own 100%?

Yes. At least one person resident in Switzerland must be able to represent the company.

Do you guarantee a bank account?

No one can. We prepare the KYC file and introduce you to suitable banks; the bank decides.
