How our list works

A ready-made company is a Swiss GmbH or AG that was properly formed, entered in the commercial register and kept without business activity until a buyer takes it over. You buy its quotas or shares, appoint your managers or board, and usually change its name, purpose and seat at the same signing.

We publish every company with the same data points, so you can compare before you call:

  • Legal form: GmbH (CHF 20,000 capital, fully paid in) or AG (CHF 100,000 nominal capital, at least CHF 50,000 paid in).
  • Canton and incorporation year: shelf companies are recent; vintage companies have an older incorporation date.
  • Capital and paid-in amount: the capital stays in the company as its equity. It is not part of our price.
  • All-in price: from CHF 5,900 for a GmbH and CHF 9,900 for an AG, notary and register included for the standard case.
  • UID and Zefix link: so you can check the register entry yourself.
Every company is delivered with signed accounts showing that its capital is intact. This matters legally: since 1 January 2025, Swiss law voids the transfer of shares or quotas in a company that has no business activity, no realisable assets and is over-indebted (Art. 684a and 787a CO). Read our page on legality and compliance.

GmbH or AG?

GmbH demand is roughly three times AG demand in German-speaking Switzerland, and a GmbH ties up less capital. An AG keeps its shareholders out of the public commercial register (they are reported to the non-public transparency register instead), while GmbH members are entered publicly. Neither form is anonymous. See Swiss GmbH for sale and Swiss AG for sale.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the list sometimes empty?

We only publish companies that exist, are checked and are available. We never show sample or fictitious listings. When the list is empty, send your criteria: we reply within 2 business hours with what is available or being formed.

What does the price include?

For a ready-made GmbH (from CHF 5,900) or AG (from CHF 9,900): the transfer, new managers or board, the change of name, purpose and seat, the commercial register filing and the transparency-register update, with notary and register fees for the standard case. The capital is not a cost: it stays in the company.

Can I check a company before buying?

Yes. Each listing has its UID and a link to Zefix, the federal index of the commercial registers. Before signing you also receive the signed accounts and the debt-enforcement extract.

Is buying a ready-made company legal?

Buying a properly formed and capitalised company is a normal transfer of shares or quotas. What Swiss law prohibits is trading empty, over-indebted shells (Art. 684a/787a CO). We only sell companies with intact capital and we identify every buyer.
